Requiem for the Innocent

 

Over the years I’ve been asked if I would be willing or interested in teaching art classes. Up until now I haven’t.

Now I believe it’s time for me to share what experience and insight I’ve accumulated over a lifetime of making art.

I’m interested in helping advance the artist’s desired direction, broadening his/her scope, and invigorating the enthusiasm for being an artist.

There will be drawing on a big scale with charcoal, pastel, ink, watercolor etc. exploring notions of personal movement. And lots of conversation about perception, fear, memory, personal icons as well as issues that deal with self criticism.

I’ll provide the supplies for this session.

I invite those interested in this to email me a jpeg of what you think may be one of your best works. Also a brief statement about where you think you are in your process.

I’ll hold a Saturday session at my studio in Norcross, in the woods by the river on December 11^th.  The session will be from 10am thru 2pm. Bring a lunch.

The cost is $100.00 payable upon arrival.

There will be additional classes throughout the fall, winter and spring.
